Indian Head Massage Practitioner training
Content to include:
- history of Indian Head massage
- physiological and psychological benefits
- potential healing responses
- working with chakras
- working with oils
- Indian head massage techniques and routine
- introductory meditation techniques to use for yourself and your clients.
Traditionally, Indian Head massage is received as a seated treatment and fully clothed. This is how it will be taught on this course. You will receive guidance on how to adapt this treatment to be used with oils and on a massage couch, should you need to treat someone that way.
This course is accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine. You can join the IPHM and obtain insurance if you have none in place already.
Pre-requisite: Anatomy and Physiology certificate (proof may be required)
For those without any body massage qualifications, a further practical assessment will be required at extra cost (please enquire to see if this applies to you).
Four case studies must be completed before certificate is issued (to be completed within three months).
Fee includes: manual, certificate and refreshments. You will need to bring a light lunch with you.
A deposit of £125 is required at time of booking to secure your place. Remaining payment must be received no later than 28 days before the course begins.
There will be a maximum of 8 students on this training to ensure high standards.

Learn to guide meditation- a weekend workshop
Learn to guide groups or individuals in meditation or take this opportunity to deepen your own meditation practice.
This is an ideal weekend for those who are:
- considering a meditation teacher/ facilitator training
- those who are already facilitating classes and would like more confidence (yoga, reiki teachers and similar)
- holistic therapists and healers who would like to include and feel confident in guiding their clients through relaxation and meditation techniques
- individuals who would like to learn more and deepen their own experience and understanding of meditation, maybe even wishing to share their practice with family and friends.
It is recommended that you have at least one years experience of regular meditation practice if you are wishing to learn to facilitate meditation for others.
Over the weekend, we will be discovering the benefits of meditation, different forms and styles of meditation from various traditions including breath, mindfulness, mantra, guided visualisations, walking meditation and sound.
We will explore how to facilitate to groups and individuals and how to use meditation as an aid and addition to relaxation/ holistic therapies.
You will receive hand-outs and a certificate of attendance (accredited by The International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine).
We will be spending the weekend at The Thurso Centre located within the 32 acres of scenic grounds at Felden Lodge Conference and Training Centre in Hemel Hempstead. Felden Lodge is located within easy access to the M1 and M25 and 35 minutes away from central London by train.
The Thurso Centre will be our nurturing, private meditation hub for the weekend. We will have our own dining room, chill out area, kitchen, toilet and activity hall.
