An introduction to meditation for complete beginners or those who are looking to learn more.

This session will include a brief outline of the benefits of meditation and an overview of different techniques and traditions. You will also experience 2-3 short simple meditations and guidance on starting a home practice.

Spring meditation evening


Celebrating the Spring Equinox  with meditations that embrace the energy of the new season and connect us to Mother Earth.

Heart meditation and sound bath


We begin with a heart centred meditation practice and then bathe in the healing vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, sacred chants, drums and other meditative instruments.

Chakra meditation evening (part 1)


Gentle meditations to re-balance and harmonize your energy. This session will focus on the root, sacral, solar plexus and heart chakra.

This is a great way to learn about chakras if you are new to them or if you would like to work with them in a traditional yogic way.

Learn to guide meditation- a residential weekend workshop


Learn to guide groups or individuals in meditation or take this opportunity to deepen your own meditation practice.

This is an ideal weekend for those who are:

  • considering a meditation teacher/ facilitator training
  • those who are already facilitating classes and would like more confidence (yoga, reiki teachers and similar)
  • holistic therapists and healers who would like to include and feel confident in guiding their clients through relaxation and meditation techniques
  • individuals who would like to learn more and deepen their own experience and understanding of meditation, maybe even wishing to share their practice with family and friends.

It is recommended that you have at least one years experience of regular meditation practice if you are wishing to learn to facilitate meditation for others.

Over the weekend, we will be discovering the benefits of meditation, different forms and styles of meditation from various traditions including breath, mindfulness, mantra, guided visualisations, walking meditation and sound.

We will explore how to facilitate to groups and individuals and how to use meditation as an aid and addition to relaxation/ holistic therapies.

All accommodation, meals and refreshments are included. You will also receive hand-outs and a certificate of attendance (accredited by The International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine).

We will be spending the weekend at The Thurso Centre located within the 32 acres of scenic grounds at Felden Lodge Conference and Training Centre in Hemel Hempstead. Felden Lodge is located within easy access to the M1 and M25 and 35 minutes away from central London by train.

The Thurso Centre will be our nurturing, private meditation hub for the weekend. We will have our own dining room, chill out area, kitchen, toilet / showers and activity hall. Bedrooms are shared between 2-4 people.
